Senate body takes notice of setting ablaze of Workers Welfare Board’s record

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis while taking notice of setting ablaze the record of Workers Welfare Board and hiring, directed the authorities to produce details of the incident on Friday. The Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis chairman Senator Baaz Muhammad Khan chaired a meeting of the committee in Islamabad on Friday. The committee was told in the meeting that the all the record from 2008 to 2011 was gutted in the fire. The committee said that the Workers Welfare Board was constituted for the poor labourers and said widespread irregularities occurring in the Workers Welfare Board. The committee expressed shock that around 3000 people have been hired but there was no record of their educational certificates and domiciles. The committee directed that authorities to produce record of irregularities in hiring and setting ablaze of the record in the next meeting. The members of the committee advised to check the Workers Welfare Board of all the four provinces.
