Senate committee demands probe into Indian missile issue from each angle

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PPP Senator Shireen Rehman has said that falling of a missile into Pakistan was not just only an accident, but it is a very serious and dangerous matter.

During a meeting on Wednesday, Shireen Rehman said that reality should be made public. “The matter should be probed from each angle and India should be punished for it,” she added.

PTI Senator Zarqa Suharwardi said that it was mandatory to highlight the facts before the world about the missile launching issue.

Replying to queries, Foreign Secreatry Shohail Mahmood said that they had asked India whether it happened during routine maintenance or India does not have control over it.

He said that they gave briefings to permanent members of UN Security Council regarding the missile issue. “Defence experts from all over the world, including India, raised serious questions on this matter,” he added.

He said that Indian intention in this regard should be probed.
