Senate election: Committee set up to probe into presence of cameras in polling booth

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Senate Election Presiding Officer Muzaffar Hussain Shah set up a committee to probe into the presence of cameras in the polling booth.

The committee consists of six members from the government and the opposition. The Senate secretary has been appointed as the inquiry officer.

Senate Security In-charge Wajahat Afzal was appointed as Sergeant at Arms a day before the Senate election.

The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) had submitted an application for establishing an inquiry committee and sealing the record. The PDM senators had also demanded a copy of the CCTV footage regarding recovery of cameras in the polling booth.
