ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The PML-N made a clean sweep in the Senate election from Punjab, while all candidates of the PPP and the MQM were declared successful from Sindh, according to unofficial results.

Punjab: Pervaiz Rashid, Prof Sajid Mir, Raja Zafarul Haq, Mushahiddullah Khan, Nehal Hashmi, Saleem Zia, Chaudhry Tanvir Ahmed Khan, Ghaus Bukhsh Niazi, Gen (retd) Abdul Qayyum, Najma Hameed and Ayesha Raza Farooq.
Sindh: PPP’s Farooq H Naik and Sassui Palejo (unopposed); MQM’s Nighat Mirza and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif (unopposed); Rehman Malik, Abdul Latif Ansari, Saleem Mandviwala, Khush Bakhat Shujaat, Mian Attique, Islamuddin Sheikh and Engineer Gayan Chand.
Balochistan: Mir Hasil Bazinjo, Dr Usman Kakar, Sardar Azam Khan Musakhel, Dr Jahanzeb Jamaldeeni, Yousaf Badeeni, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Naimatullah Zehri, Kalsoom Perveen, Gul Bushara Sherani, Dr Ashok Kumar, Agha Shahbaz Durrani and Mir Kabir Muhammad.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak claimed his party had won 7 seats, however, votes were being counted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly till the filing of this report.
PTI’s dissident MPA Javed Naseem did not appear to cast his vote.
Meanwhile, the ECP postponed the election in FATA for an indefinite period.
