Senate passes resolution seeking postponement of elections on Feb 8
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Senate on Friday passed a resolution seeking the postponement of the general elections on February 8.
Senator Dilawar Khan presented the resolution, while PML-N's Afnanullah Khan opposed the resolution.
There was a great uproar in the Upper House when Afnan Khan took the floor and started expressing his views.
Afnanullah Khan said that several people want the postponement of the elections, which are not held on anyone's whim. "The elections are conducted according to the law and the constitution," he opined.
He said that the elections should not be postponed for security reasons.
