Senator Ishaq Dar appointed as PML-N election cell chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Senator Ishaq Dar as the chairman of the party's election cell.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, the party spokesperson, said that PML-N secretary general Ahsan Iqbal had issued the notification in this regard. "The appointment of Ishaq Dar as the head of the election cell will speed up the election activities. All matters, including receiving applications for party tickets and monitoring the election rules will be completed quickly," she added.

Senator Ishaq Dar has also served as chairman of the parliamentary committee that drafted the Election Act 2017 approved by the parliament.
