Senior journalist Ayaz Amir tortured in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) - Senior journalist and columnist Ayaz Amir was tortured by unknown individuals on Abbott Road in Lahore.

A case of attack on Ayaz Amir has been registered against six unidentified persons. The Qila Gujar Singh police has registered a case against Ayaz Amir 's driver. Injuries were also found on the face, both eyes, upper lip, chest and knee joints of Ayaz Amir.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz took notice of the violence. He sought report from IG Punjab and directed to arrest the accused involved in the violence immediately.

On the other hand, President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, political leaders and journalist organizations have strongly condemned the attack on Ayaz Amir.
