Seven members of Pakistani-origin family burnt to death in Canada

ALBERTA, Canada (Web Desk) – Seven members of a Pakistani-origin family members were killed when their house caught fire in Alberta province, Canada.

The Pakistani High Commission spokesperson said that the deceased included four children.

He said that the incident was very tragic. "We are in contact with the bereaved family and will extend al-out cooperation," he added. However, the reason behind the tragic incident could not be ascertained.

Pakistan High Commissioner Raza Bashir said that the fire incident occurred on Friday. "The deceased family belong to Karachi. Amjad Iqbal was living with his wife and children," he informed.

He said that it would be premature to link the incident to Islamophobia.
