Seven students killed as truck falls on rickshaw in Zafarwal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – At least seven students and a rickshaw driver were killed when a truck fell on a rickshaw at Zafarwal tehsil of Narowal district on early Friday morning. According to the details garnered, a truck loaded with gravel overturned and fell on a rickshaw near Zafarwal at Shakar Garh Road. Due to the accident, rickshaw driver and seven – school going student – were killed at the spot. Four boys and three girls students were included who are being reported dead. It was also reported that three others three students is stated to be critical when they shifted to nearby hospital. After the accident rescue and Edhi ambulances reached the site. All the victims riding on a motorcycle-rickshaw were on their way to school when a truck fell on the rickshaw. Meanwhile, the police also reached at the spot and were investigating the incident. On July 2, at least nine persons including women and children were killed during an road accident at the Sahianwala Interchange near Faisalabad in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to the reports, the incident happened when a van carrying members of same family collided with a truck from Chak Jhumra at the Sahianwala Interchange from behind, killing nine persons. The rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.
On June 25, six people have died and more than 15 injured in a road accident on Indus Highway, near Numnara in Shikarpur district.

According to the details, the incident occurred when a passenger van hit a car on the highway. Six including three women killed during the traffic accident.

The injured persons have been shifted to the nearest hospital. Earlier, in a tragic road accident, at least 12 people were killed while five others injured when a passenger van caught fire after hitting the walls of toll plaza in Islamabad.
