Several houses, hundreds of acres destroyed by flood & landslide in Skardu

SKARDU (92 News) – Several houses have been destroyed and hundreds of acres inundated by the flood and landslide in Skardu. The road link with Baltistan has been disconnected due to blockage of Gilgit-Skardu Road. Army troops are busy in rescue and relief activities in the flood affected areas. Meanwhile, the Indus River is in high flood at Chashma and Jinnah Barrage. Floodwater has entered over 30 villages of Jamshoro. The areas adjacent to Ghotki, Kashmor and Shikarpur have also submerged. A crevice has created in the dyke of Loyaj Dam near Guddap due to the flash flood.
