Several students, two guards injured in groups’ clash at PU

LAHORE (92 News) – Several students and two guards were injured in a clash between two groups at Punjab University on Friday. A heavy contingent of police led by Iqbal Town SSP Capt (retd) Muhammad Ajmal reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later, a students organization staged a sit-in at Campus Bridge. As a result, long queues of vehicles were seen on both sides of the road. The protesters said that the police and administration were doing injustice with them. “We have filed an application with the police. A case should be registered against the accused under the ATA,” they said. They added that they were being implicated in several cases for the last eight years. They said that they would continue their protest till registration of the case.
