Severe traffic logjam after heavy rain in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – Severe traffic logjam was witnessed after the heavy rain in the city on Wednesday.

Rainwater accumulated on roads, causing problems for the motorists. Long queues of vehicles were seen on almost all roads, including The Mall Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road and Multan Road.

Traffic flow was badly affected on The Mall Road.

The heavy rain also affected the transmission system of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), tripping over 110 feeders.

The power supply to several areas, including Gulshan Ravi, Samanabad, Rajgarh, Rachna Town, Shahdara, Karim Park, Begum Kot, Shadman, Ichhra, Mominpura, Mozzang, Abid Market, Shadbagh, Manga Mandi, Ayaz Town, Green Town, Township, Shadipura, Beaden Road, Railway Colony and Asif Town.
