Shabbar Zaidi will remain as FBR Chairman, tweets Naeem ul Haque

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Syed Shabbar Zaidi will continue to perform his duties, said Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Naeem ul Haque in a latest tweet on Thursday. “Shabbar Zaidi not being changed. He will remain in his position,” the latest tweet quoted Mr Haque as saying. https://twitter.com/naeemul_haque/status/1151740434848370688 The controversy over the removal of Shabbar Zaidi began few weeks ago following the reports of unrest in the FBR formations, taxation measures announced by the federal government and deteriorating economic situation of the country. But the recent tweet by Naeem ul Haque apparently brushed aside all speculations about Zaidi's departure.
