ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has announced to enforce the uniform syllabus for primary classes from January. Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly on Friday, he said that they had made the seminaries understand to adopt their syllabus along with not leaving their own syllabus so that the seminary students can become doctors and engineers. The minister informed the House that the Wafaq Tanzeemul Madaris had assured the government of joining the uniform syllabus within 3-4 years. “We will make an exemplary uniform syllabus and later the legislation will be done,” he said. Shafqat Mahmood said that educational institutions were closed on March 7. “The government inaugurated Tele School in the first week of April. Radio School will also be opened soon. Work on online education is also going on. However, availability of internet is a big challenge,” he added. He said that the work on distant education system is also underway.
