MULTAN (92 News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) Election Tribunal allowed former federal minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his son Zain Qureshi to contest the elections scheduled to be held on February 8.

Meanwhile, the nomination papers of Haleem Adil Sheikh were also accepted.

In Sindh, the SHC issued notices on 23 appeals, including the appeals filed by Zulfiqar Mirza's son Hasnain and Ahsam.

In Mardan, the tribunal also approved the appeal filed by PTI candidate Mujahid Ali Khan. From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the nomination papers of Shafiullah Jan, Ameer Farzand, Abdul Salam Afridi, Mian Umar and Adnan Khan were also accepted.

In Karachi, the tribunals rejected the appeals filed by PTI's Masroor Sial and Alamgir and MQM's Yasiruddin.
