Shah Mahmood’s brother slaps devotee in Multan

MULTAN (92 News) – Mureed Hussain Qureshi, brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has on Thursday slapped a devotee over the bathing ceremony at shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya in Multan. As the three-day celebration on the annual Urs of Sufi Saint Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya began in Multan, the custodian of the shrine inaugurated the celebrations bathing the tomb of the Saint with rose water. The brother of Shah Mahmood Qureshi repeatedly slapped the devotee, who continued to apologize for not providing him bathing material. A ‘National Zakariya Conference’ will be held in connection with the Urs celebrations which would be attended by Ulemas, religious figures. Later, addressing the ceremony, Mureed Hussain Qureshi criticized his brother and said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi make deals of devotees faith with party chairman Imran Khan. He warned Shah Mahmood of taking the politics to the spiritual shrine. Mureed Hussain further declared his brother murderer of seven people. He called Shah Mahmood, ‘a seller of graves’.
