Shaharyar Khan’s stint as PCB chairman ends

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan ended his tenure on Friday, becoming the third one chief completing his tenure. The new PCB chief will be elected on August 9. After the completion of his tenure, Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Afzal Haider has assumed the charge as Acting PCB chief and will run the daily matters. With the completion of Shaharyar Khan’s tenure, the governing board was also dissolved. Before Shahryar Khan, Gen (retd) Tauqir Zia and Ijaz Butt had completed their tenures. During Shaharyar Khan’s tenure, Pakistan achieved the first position in the Test ranking.
