Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also shifted to hospital from jail

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the arrested accused in LNG scandal, has also been shifted to a private hospital from Adiala Jail. The Pakistan Muslim League-N stalwart is in custody in connection with a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry into LNG scandal. He was shifted to a private hospital located in Sector H-8 where he is expected to undergo a surgery. Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical check-up after his health condition deteriorated. It is pertinent to mention here that former president Asif Ali Zardari, who is arrested by NAB in fake bank account case, admit in the PIMS hospital, while former premier Nawaz Sharif is undergoing treatment in the Services Hospital. Now Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also has been shifted in the hospital from Adiala jail. Earlier, an accountability court extended the judicial remand of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail and Sheikh Imranul Haq in the LNG scandal till November 19. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented Khaqan Abbasi before accountability court. The court extended his judicial remand till November 19. However, the former prime minister also submitted an application for treatment with his own choice. In the plea, he adopted a stance that the permission should be given him for treatment on his own expense. It added that the Punjab government is not ready to take any responsibility for this. On the other hand, the court official complained against Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Musadik Malik for abusing outside the court. On his complaint, the judge called Musadik Malik on rostrum and expressed anger on his harsh words exchanged with official.
