November 17, 2019
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan has said that Sharif family have always been given “too much relief”. Addressing a news conference, the AG said that former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family has been given too much relief even though ordinary people and those from the privileged classes should be treated equally. The attorney general had been asked whether or not relief, similar to Sharif, would be given to ordinary prisoners, allowing them to be treated by doctors at their homes. “I believe that Nawaz Sharif and his family have enjoyed too much relief; we want equal treatment for all.” Anwar Mansoor has said the matter involving former premier Nawaz Sharif’s removal from the ECL as per LHC’s orders will be produced before the federal cabinet after receiving the detailed judgement. “The federal cabinet would decide whether it should file an appeal against the LHC's judgement,” he added. Mansoor Khan warned that if the undertaking for the return the former prime minister is not fulfilled, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will be disqualified for lifetime in view of Article 62 (1) (f) on account of submitting false statement in the Lahore High Court (LHC). The AGP said that that Shehbaz had submitted an affidavit in LHC in which an undertaking for Nawaz’s return was given. “This undertaking is not an ordinary thing as it has grave repercussions. If the same is not fulfilled, Shehbaz can be disqualified for lifetime,” he said. On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif is likely to leave for treatment in London tomorrow (Tuesday). The sons of Nawaz Sharif, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz has booked an air ambulance that will arrive in Lahore on Tuesday and subject to permission of his doctors, Nawaz will leave for London on the same day. The preparations are continued to shift the former prime minister as he will be shifted to US after he seeks initial treatment in the UK Saturday.  He also said that Nawaz will seek treatment for his kidney and heart in the UK. In the US, the former prime minister will be treated for his platelet condition. His brother Shehbaz Sharif and personal physician Dr Adnan Khan are accompanying him as per the existing understanding. It will be decided on Sunday as to who else could also fly with Nawaz.
