Sharjeel Memon granted 15-day protective bail

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Monday granted 15-days protective bail to former provincial minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani and Justice Athar Minallah heard the bail plea.

During the proceedings, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) lawyer said that Sharjeel Memon is an accused to which the court remarked that the one who surrenders in front of the court isn’t a criminal.

The court 15-days bail to Sharjeel Memon ordered him to submit bonds worth Rs 2 million.

The bench directed him to present himself before the relevant court in Karachi.

Talking to media, former provincial minister said that cases against him were registered while he was outside of the country. “I am thankful to the honorable court for providing me justice”, he said.

Farooq H Naik, the lawyer of Sharjeel Memon said that the NAB is targeting PPP leader politically.
