KARACHI (92 News) – Former provincial minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon has on Sunday refused to accept the allegations leveled against him.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that plain clothes men had arrested him at the airport and in fact kidnapped him and forcibly boarded him on a vehicle.

The PPP leader said that he could not realize that he was arrested until he was face to face with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials.

He said that he is ready to be executed if he is proved guilty.

“Putting someone's name on the ECL without issuing any prior notice to them is an extreme step,” he added.

The former Sindh minister said that he is willing to cooperate with the department for investigation of corruption cases against him but there is a procedure for that which must be followed.

Memon said that he went abroad for treatment on the permission of former chief minister Qaim Ali Shah and within three months his name was put on Exit Control List (ECL).
