Shaukat Tareen likely to be made PM's special assistant or adviser on finance

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former federal minister Shaukat Tareen is likely to be made Special Assistant or Adviser to Prime Minister on finance.

Sources said that Shaukat Tareen regularly participates in the key meetings of the economic team.

They added that the proposal of Shaukat Tareen contesting the Senate election is also under consideration.

Shaukat Tareen has served as the finance minister during the PPP tenure.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan would make the final decision about his appointment.
