SHC acquits MQM-P’s Amir Khan in murder case

KARACHI (92 News) – After 17 years, the Sindh High Court (SHC) has acquitted MQM-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Amir Khan in murder case. The SHC rejected hearing the case the provincial government’s plea to extend the punishment awarded to Amir Khan and Tariq alias “Bata” in murder case. The court declares the punishment of Amir Khan and Tariq alias as null and void and ordered to set them free. In his arguments, the prosecutor said the accused killed two people in 2003. Khan and Bata were awarded punishment by the ATC and after the punishment, both decided to move to SHC.
