SHC orders to complete Lyari Expressway project by Dec 31

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) has on Tuesday gave the provincial government December 31 deadline to complete Lyari Expressway project. The SHC judge heard the case on the compensatory funds for families shifted due to work on the mega project. During the proceedings, the court remarked that in case of non-implementation, it will take action against the responsible individual/ department. The court ordered to complete the project until December 31 and it should be open to the public by January 1, 2018. The court further remarked that action would be taken if the project didn’t complete.
