SHC rejects bails of eight accused, including Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) has rejected the bails of eight accused, including Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the assets beyond means case on Wednesday.

Announcing the verdict on the bails of 18 accused, a bench comprising of Justice Nadeem Akhtar and Justice Iqbal Kalhoro accepted the bails of Agha Siraj Durrani's wife and sons.

However, Agha Siraj Durrani did not appear in court. During the hearing, the NAB officers were present in court along with the arrest warrants of the accused.

An accountability court is hearing the reference of accumulating assets beyond income.

According to sources, Afgha Siraj Durrani has decided to challenge the verdict in the Supreme Court.
