SHC restores IG AD Khawaja, orders Dasti to relinquish charge

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) restored IG AD Khawaja on Monday, ordering Acting IG Abdul Majeed Dasti to relinquish the charge.

Justice Muneeb Akhtar remarked that apparently it seems that the SHC order has been violated.

“The Supreme Court has ruled that constitutional decisions will be made by the cabinet,” he remarked.

On the other hand, PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that they accepted the court verdict.

He said that restoration of AD Khawaja was not related to politics. “The decision on challenging the verdict will be made after party consultation,” he said.

Shehryar Mehar said that the Sindh government had made the officers fun.

Naeemul Haq said that there should be rule of law in the country.
