SHC stops police from registering more cases against PTI Senator Azam Swati

KARACHI (92 News) - The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday stopped the police from registering more cases against PTI Senator Azam Swati.

Moreover, the court ordered the police to submit the details of the cases till December 14. The court observed that that action would be taken if the explanation of all the cases was not presented.

During the hearing, harsh words were exchanged between the Sindh IG and the court bench.

The court asked the Sindh IG to resign if he is not interested in his job. Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon said that he was the police chief of Sindh, respected the court and expected the same from court. "Why should I resign?"

The prosecutor general sought an apology from court on behalf of the Sindh IG.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing.
