LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday has condemned the incident of pelting stones and teargas shelling at the workers during the Maryam Nawaz’s appearance in at NAB office. In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif deplored NAB-Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan nexus and blamed them behind the mishap. "The government is taking political revenge from PML-N," he added. On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto has criticized the unnecessary use of force, teargas and stone pelting on Maryam Nawaz and her party workers by police in Lahore. The reaction came after a clash erupted between police and PML-N workers – who accompanied Maryam Nawaz from Jati Umrah to the NAB office in a convoy. On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, has alleged that police pelted stone at her bulletproof car and broke the windshield. In a video that she posted on Twitter, Maryam alleged that police pelted stones at her car which cracked her bulletproof vehicle’s windshield. Showing the cracked windshield of her car, the PML-N leader claimed, “Pelting stones at my car, police have broken its windshield. This is a bulletproof car and police are pelting stones and shelling [PML-N workers] in front of NAB’s office to instigate workers,” she said. In a tweet, the PML-N leader accused police of firing tear gas shells and baton-charging party workers. Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) workers pelted stones at the police during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz at NAB office Lahore. According to the reports, 10 bags filled with stones were placed in the vehicle of Maryam’s security. When 92 News reporter made footage, stones were removed from the security vehicle. Meanwhile, the question arose that what was the purpose of keeping stones in Maryam Nawaz’s security vehicle? The workers pelted stones at the police during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz while the police fired shelling to disperse the workers.
