MURREE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto have expressed grief and sorrow over deaths due to heavy snowfall in Murree.

In a message on Saturday, Shehbaz Sharif said that these are not deaths, but they tantamount to murders. "The human tragedy in Murree has exposed the government claim of an increase in tourism," he maintained.

He said that deaths in vehicles reflect extremity of administrative incompetence and negligence.

PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Murree tragedy is a big failure of the government. "The rescue teams could not reach several areas," he added.

Meanwhile, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto expressed the grief over the deaths of tourists in Murree. He said that the country is in mourning over the tragedy.

He said that it would have been better had the tourists informed about the severe situation. "The administration should take steps on emergency basis to help the trapped tourists," he added.
