Shehbaz demands immediate release of Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE (92 News) – After the removal of Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Friday demanded immediate release of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. In a statement, while calling the immediate release of Nawaz Sharif, the opposition leader termed that morally the verdict – which announced by judge in al-Azizia against the former premier – had become null and void. The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president said after the judge’s removal, there was no reason for keeping the PML-N quid behind the bars. “Keeping Nawaz Sharif in jail for even a minute is now illegal,” he added. He said that the ‘alleged video’ and all the facts connected to it had been proven to be true. “The verdict given against Nawaz Sharif under pressure should be declared void,” he said.
Verdict be nullified automatically after removal of judge: Aurangzeb
Responding to the reports regarding the removal of judge, the PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the verdict against Nawaz Sharif should be nullified automatically on the legal basis. She also said that Nawa Sharif should be released immediately. “It has been confirmed that the video is real,” she said.
IHC decides to remove Judge Arshad Malik from his post
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) decided to remove Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik from his post over alleged video tape released by Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Maryam Nawaz.

According to IHC spokesperson, the IHC acting chief justice sent a letter to Law Ministry for taking back the services of Arshad Malik as accountability court judge.

Earlier today, Judge Arshad Malik wrote a letter to the IHC, in which, he rejected all the accusations leveled against him in the alleged video. The respectable judge also submitted his reply, affidavit, press release and other documents. The IHC spokesman said that the chief justice is reviewing the letter for furtheractions.
