LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Wednesday said that former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif left the provincial economy in dump by looting it through 56 companies registered under a fictitious name. The provincial minister rebutted the press conference held by Shehbaz Sharif in London where he called the freezing of his and his families’ assets by nexus of NAB-Imran Niazi. “If you are so innocent, why are you sitting in foreign countries with your children,” he asked from the opposition leader. Chohan also said the former rulers of Punjab left the province in a debt of 1200 billion. He said that the Shehbaz Sharif’s front men swindled billions from the provincial budget on his behest. The provincial minister added that unbridled corruption had given these politicians severe upset stomach that could now only be cured by the remedy prescribed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The minister said that Shehbaz Sharif’s press conference based only on lies. He demanded the PML-N president to return country and face trial against him. Earlier, addressing a press conference in London, Shehbaz Sharif said that the nexus between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) froze his assets. The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president mentioned that the alliance of NAB-Imran Niazi openly surfaced. “An alliance between Imran Niazi and NAB exists and they have frozen me and my families’ assets,” he added. Commenting on the key progress of the Ashiyana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme in the Supreme Court, Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned that the Niazi-NAB nexus had once more been dealt a defeat. “My innocence was also testified by the top court,” he said. “Naeem Bukhari was representing the government in Ashiana case against me and had to back off as the claims against me were frivolous,” the PMl-N president maintained. He claimed that the government was responsible for the division among the political brass of the country. Shahbaz Sharif said that all the assets which they ordered to be frozen yesterday, all the assets are declared. “They also could not prove a single corruption case against me. If they have any proof, should be present before the court. How they can freeze my all declared assets,” he said. The PML-N president claimed that they lured bureaucrats to make approver against him. He further raised reservations over the political situation of the country. “The in-house change is necessary for the progress of country because Imran Khan Niazi has become burden on this country now,” he added.
