Shehbaz Sharif accuses FIA investigation team of harassing him

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has accused the FIA investigation team of harassing him.

During the hearing on Saturday, Shehbaz Sharif told court that the FIA officials had insulted and misbehaved him. "The FIA officers continued to make fun of him by speaking in loud tone," he added.

The court ordered the investigation team not to harass him and treat him respectfully. "I caused a loss of billions of rupees in the sugar mills owned by my family. I opposed my family and gave sugar at a low rate. I served the widows and poor people of Punjab," he maintained.

Shehbaz Sharif said that 20-hour shutdown was observed before the PML-N assumed power. "After the NAB, same cases have been given to the FIA. I am accused of getting commission in projects and I have given the reply to the FIA in this regard," he added.

On the other hand, the court extended the interim bail of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Sharif till August 2.
