Shehbaz Sharif, Ameer Muqam exchange views on preparations for general elections

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Ameer Muqam, former senator Waqar Ahmed called on party president Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday.

They discussed political matters as well as preparations for the general elections.

The visitors congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on his acquittal in the Ashiana Iqbal reference. Senator Waqar Ahmed lauded Shahbaz Sharif's efforts to save Pakistan from default during his 16 months as prime minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that the PML-N had lived up to the trust and expectations of the nation under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. "Getting the people rid of inflation is our top priority. Relieving Pakistan and the people from economic misery is the national agenda," he added.

He said that political stability and national effort are needed for economic self-reliance.
