Shehbaz Sharif asks COAS and DG ISPR to show proofs, if any, against opposition

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif has asked Chief of Army Staff General Qamar javed Bajwa and DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar to show proofs of a conpiracy, if any, against the opposition. 

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that they all respect judiciary. “The opposition itself wants clean and transparent elections. In these times the situation is that constitution has been violated. As many as 195 MNAs have been accused of betrayal,” he added.

He said that unemployment increased in the country. “Where are five million houses and not even a brick has been laid in this regard. We had tabled the no-confidence motion not for us, but for the nation. We wanted that all matters should be resolved according to the constitution,” he maintained.

Shehbaz Sharif said that lies and allegations are the nature of the PTI leaders. “I request Army Chief and DG ISPR to bring proofs against us if any conspiracy had been discussed in National Security Committee (NSC),” he added.

PML-N leader said that it is the mutual opinion of law experts that deputy speaker violated constitution on April 3. “We hope from the court that they will protect constitution,” he added.

Responding to a question he said that he has not received any letter from President Arif Alvi for consulation.
