Kot Lakhpat jail is anxiously waiting for Nawaz Sharif, says Shahzad Akbar

LAHORE (92 News) – Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar said that Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif had committed money laundering by using the papers of others.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, he said that money laundering was done through 28 secret and 'benami' accounts and 'benami' account holders were their employees. He said that Pakistan was in the grey list due to such people. "Kot Lakhpat jail is anxiously waiting for Nawaz Sharif," he added.

He requested the court to announce the verdicts after hearing the cases on daily basis.

Shahzad Akbar said that corruption cannot be eradicated in just three years. "On the request of the government, Nawaz Sharif's application has been turned down in London. He may be forced to leave Britain. Ishaq Dar has submitted an application for political asylum in London," he added.
