LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has demanded a parliamentary probe into the medicines scam. In a statement on Friday, Shehbaz Sharif held Prime Minister Imran Khan responsible for the medicines scam like the flour and sugar scandals. He said that the prime minister had allowed the import of medicines from India. “The import of other medicines under the garb of life-saving medicines is a heinous crime,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan would have registered a treason case against the PML-N imported the medicines from Indian during it tenure. “Only surprise over the matter will not work out. The prime minister, who is the health minister as well, should answer to the scandal amounting to billions of rupees,” he said. He said that a medicines scam emerged in the past, but Imran Khan protected the minister and gave him a new designation. The PML-N president said that the people playing with the lives of the people should be brought to justice.
