Shehbaz Sharif expresses concern over Pakistan's exit from list of emerging economies

LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his concern over Pakistan's exit from the list of emerging economies.

In a statement on Wednesday, he said that Pakistan's demotion from the international list of Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) is not good news.

"Imran Niazi is seeing the people prosperous and international institutions in a decrepit condition," he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that MSCI's considering of Pakistan in 'frontier markets' is a declaration of bad condition of the economy.

"Pakistan was considered among 20 emerging economies of the world during the Nawaz Sharif era," he maintained.
