KARACHI (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif met PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, Karachi on Wednesday. The PML-N president conveyed the special message of Nawaz Sharif to Asif Zardari. He also inquired after the health of Asif Zardari. They also discussed the parliamentary affairs and cases against the opposition leaders. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Senator Sherry Rehman and Farhatullah Babar, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal, Sindh former governor Muhammad Zubair, Miftah Ismail, Shah Muhammad Shah and other leaders were also present on the occasion. Earlier talking to the party leaders in Lahore on Tuesday, Shehbaz Sharif said that the government had failed in each sector. "Those who tried to become a hero by not increasing the petrol rate had become zero by increasing the power rate," he maintained. Shehbaz Sharif said that the prime minister is filling up the pockets his cronies by committing the theft of flour, wheat, sugar, medicines and petrol. "The government showed criminal negligence in the import of LNG which increased the oil price instead of gas and as a result, costly electricity was produced," he added. He said that the government had deprived the masses of the right to live by imposing taxes. "The government has already made a record increase in the prices of power and gas," he added. Shehbaz Sharif said a strong protest would be lodged if the government did not withdraw the increase in the electricity rates.
