LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that he cannot appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) due to the lockdown in the city. In a written reply to the NAB, he said that he was thoroughly investigated during his detention in the custody of the NAB. “During the investigation, I provided all required information to the NAB. I appeared before the NAB and replied to all questions whenever I was summoned,” he stated. The opposition leader said that it was pity that his replies to the call-up notice were declared incomplete and unsatisfactory. “My all assets are declared and the relevant record is with me. I am 69 and a cancer patient and as a result, my immunity is very weak,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that doctors have stopped him not to go out during the epidemic. He demanded that his appearance before the NAB should be deferred till the end of the lockdown. Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case. The NAB had sought details of properties inherited by the PML-N leader. The accountability bureau has said that between 1998 to 2018, Shehbaz’s family assets grew from Rs23 million to Rs549 billion. The NAB had also asked Shehbaz Sharif to submit bank details along with the loan taken from Barclays between 2005 to 2007.
