LONDON (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said that the government had broken the record of taking loans. Talking to the media in London on Saturday, he said that the situation would have improved had the government paid attention to the economy instead of the opposition. “Today millions of people have lost their jobs. Nawaz Sharif ended the power crisis in just four years,” he said. The PML-N president said that the people still remember the projects started by the PML-N government. About the visit of the Afghan president, he said that Hamid Karzai had given the goodwill message to the people of Pakistan. “Efforts should continue to be made to bring Pakistan and Afghanistan closer,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that the party had given the collective decision on the Army Act after consultation. “There was no uproar when Imran Khan granted extension to COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa,” he said. He said that the Supreme Court had asked the parliament to decide on the extension issue. “There are examples of extension in the past. The real issue is not extension, but poverty, unemployment and education,” he said. The PML-N president said that the government had made mistakes in the extension matter and its bad intent was involved in it.
