Shehbaz Sharif says today is blackest day in parliamentary history

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that today is the blackest day in the parliamentary history of the country. Addressing a press conference with PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and others after the passage of the FATF-related bills on Wednesday, he said that the government wanted to get approved the black law. "The Speaker trampled the assembly traditions on the dictation of Prime Minister Imran Khan," he added. Shehbaz Sharif said that they were not allowed to speak in the session. "The opposition had proposed the amendments after hard work. We were not talking about our vested interests, but for Pakistan. Today the Speaker has crossed the Red Line. We displayed extreme tolerance and forbearance," he added. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the government adopted the illegal way for the legislation. "So much undemocratic attitude has not been witnessed so far. Our opposition leader has not been allowed to speak on the floor of the House," he said.
