LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has termed the historic budget deficit as denial of the government claims. In a statement on Saturday, he said that the increase of the budget deficit by 10 percent than the GDP is matter of great concern than coronavirus. He said that the circular debt has also reached Rs210 billion. He said that the government’s claim of being the budget deficit at 7.1 had proved wrong. “Now it has proved that it is 9.1%. According to economists, it will be 10 per cent of the GDP,” he added. The PML-N leader said that the budget statistics show that the deficit had already reached the highest level before the budget. “The government has failed to control the circular debt in addition to the budget deficit,” he said. He asked the government to make investment in education and health instead of making the youth international economic slave. “Everyone is badly disappointed by the PTI government,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that the PTI government is incompetent and wants to conceal its incompetence by telling a lie. Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq said that political leadership, traders and labourers had not been consulted before the budget.
