ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister's Adviser on Accountability Shahzad Akbar has rejected the allegations of former DG FIA Bashir Memon.

Talking to 92 News program "Hard Talk Pakistan", Shahzad Akbar said that he did not ask Bashir Memon to take action against anyone including the judge.

He also said that the PML-N was very kind to Bashir Memon. He said that the former DG FIA will be taken to court over these allegations.

Earlier in the day, Shahzad Akbar issued a legal notice to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) former director general Bashir Memon for leveling allegations against him.

In a tweet on Wednesday, he said: "My lawyers have issued legal notice to Bashir Memon for his lies n slanderous accusations with malafide and without any evidence. I firmly believe in rule of law and he shall be answerable before a court of law for his slander."

In an interview with a private TV channel, Bashir Memon had alleged that he was pressured by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Law Minister Farogh Naseem and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar to file a case against Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

He also alleged that he was asked to start a legal action against several opposition leaders, including PML-N's Maryam and Nawaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif, Javed Latif, and PPP's Khursheed Shah and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
