ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has announced the closure of 12 passenger trains from March 22.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that 20 trains would be suspended if the need be. “We are going to clean the trains and conducting screening of the passengers as well,” he declared.
He said that the Sindh government was of the view that there should be no lockdown – whether the trains are reduced or closed. “We are taking steps to aware the masses of the epidemic,” he said.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM Office.
They exchanged their views to deal with coronavirus. The prime minister said that it was mandatory to adopt precautionary measures.
