Sheikh Rasheed predicts action against more thieves before March 30

KARACHI (92 News) – Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Tuesday predicted that the action would be taken against more politicians before March 30. Speaking after paying his respect at the mausoleum of the country’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his 143rd birthday, the minister alleged that Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif was more corrupt than his elder brother Nawaz Sharif. Sheikh Rasheed lamented unfortunately thieves became watchmen in the country. “Thieves, robbers and plunderers have been brought to book,” the minister said, adding that those who stole money from the pockets of the entire nation were being billed gentry. Responding to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s conviction in Al-Azizia reference, he said he was jailed for seven years in a weapons case, but Sharif was handed mere seven years in jail despite what he said looting the entire world’s wealth. The railways minister further said that he would not comment on Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto. He said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari may bear the brunt of his father’s politics. He predicted that the ‘remaining thieves’ will go to jail before March 30. “The thieves including ‘commission takers’ purchased locomotives in Rs42 billions and I have found 35 deficit when took over the charge of railways,” he termed. He further said that Jahangir Tareen was fantastic person who was LBW and only those achieved success that played on both the sides of wicket.
