RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed tested negative for the coronavirus (COVID-19) and is likely to be discharged from a Combined Military Hospital (CMH) today. The minister has won the battle against novel coronavirus after he had undergone self-isolation for two weeks since contracting the infection. He was under treatment at the CMH and was discharged from the hospital today after the negative test results. Earlier, Sheikh Rasheed, who tested positive for coronavirus, was shifted to Military Hospital, Rawalpindi. The federal minister was shifted to the hospital on the instructions of doctors and is now in good health. In a statement, he said that he is feeling better now. “I appeal to the masses to take the coronavirus seriously, adopt precautionary measures and stay at homes,” he added. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed had tested positive for coronavirus on June 8. The federal minister isolated himself in his home after testing positive for the virus. On the advice of doctors, he isolated himself for 14 days. Many top politicians have been tested for the coronavirus, as the spread of the virus is on the rise.
