Shibli Faraz demands immediate release of Sindh Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh

KARACHI (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has demanded that the Sindh government should immediately release Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that there was no moral and legal justification for violence against Haleem Adil Sheikh.

He said that the provincial government was punishing Haleem Adil Sheikh for pointing out its incompetence. "The Sindh government's attitude takes us back to the 70s," he added.

He said that the PPP had made appointments in the police on political basis. "In the by-election, the PTI workers were harassed. The Sindh government is subjecting Haleem Adil to political victimization," he added.

The minister said that the politics of wealth had always caused a loss to democracy. "The government has taken practical steps to end corruption in the Senate election," he added.

He alleged that the politics of violence is trademark of the PML-N," he added.
