Shibli Faraz welcomes SC verdict on reopening of markets

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has welcomed the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding reopening of business activities on Saturday and Sunday. Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that the government had allowed train, industry, and small businesses to resume their activities amid strict adherence to standard operating procedures. “There will be permission to do business even during the Eid holidays. We cannot bear further lockdown,” he added. The minister said that the industry had been allowed to operate. “Anti-coronavirus dresses are being prepared in the country. Nobody knows for how long coronavirus will go with us. We will have to fight against hunger along with the coronavirus pandemic,” he said. He said that they will have to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid coronavirus. “Citizens should ensure social distancing in shopping malls and bazaars,” he added. Shibli Faraz said that whatever they are doing is aimed at strengthening economy and supporting downtrodden in time of COVID-19 pandemic.
