SI who manhandled elderly devotee at Baba Fareed's Urs suspended

PAKPATTAN (92 News) - A police sub-inspector was suspended from service after he manhandled on Sunday an elderly devotee who argued over blocking dedicated queue in order to accommodate a VIP protocol on the eve of Hazrat Baba Fareed Ganj Shakkar (AS)'s Urs activities. According to details, SI Riaz was deputed at the mausoleum of Hazrat Baba Fareed Ganj Shakkar (AS) and was getting some VIP devottees passed through a queue reserved for ordinary visitors. As an elderly man, who was in the general queue, objected over it, the SI turned angry and started abusing the old man. A video footage showed that some other people were trying to get the SI calmed, but he lost his further temper and started dragging the old man. SI Riaz dragged the man for more than one time. The Pakpattan DPO taking notice of the incident, suspended the SI from service and ordered an inquiry.
