Sialkot incident is against Islam and constitution, says Ch Pervaiz Elahi

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the Sialkot incident is against Islam and the constitution.

In a meeting with a delegation of Ulema at Governor's House on Thursday, he said that the incident is a failed attempt to defame Pakistan.

He said that people involved in the incident will be awarded strict punishment.

Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi gave a specimen carrying Quranic verses and Hadiths about the Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH), saying it has been displayed in all government officers and Governor's House.

The Ulema delegation comprised of Dr Hafiz Abdur Rahman Madni, Mian Muhammad Ahsan, Anwaar Ahmed Khan, Dr Hafiz Madni and Dr Ansar Madni.

The Ulema thanked Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi for including the oath of Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) in the 'nikahnama'.
